Manta - yes the private LC was one of the IBCLC.

Entreat - that's fantastic that you've got over your hurdles and have been BF for 10 months. I can't really coordinate any position other than the cradle hold. I have been shown 2 other holds but I feel like I'm playing twister to get into the positions and I usually forget how to get into them when I get home from seeing the lactation people. I actually don't know how to get down into the laying down position. My plan was to get the cradle hold going well and then ask the LC how to do other positions like the lay down one.

Mum2boys - I understand the wanting of hope that things will get better. If I had a crystal ball and knew that the problems would get better in 4 weeks I would definitely keep persisting. It's hard just wandering around lost in the dark. Yes, the council breast feeding person exiting me from the service was certainly a blow to my confidence that things will get better. At the same time she did get a few things happening like introducing me to the nipple shield which allowed me to get DS onto the breast and suggesting I make an osteo and paediatric appointment.

Sammie - yes I have only heard good things about osteo's and BF. I'm really really hoping that we have the same experience. It's one of the things that has kept me going this week.
