Yay! I think the comps were more of a confidence issue for you, rather than a supply one. It's a common thing for many parents to feel uncertainty about their baby's behaviour - especially when it doesn't seem to fit with many of our cultural expectations for babies (sadly these often bear little or no relation to biological norms).

Re cluster feeding & supply. Babies aged between 1 month and 6 don't increase their demand for milk. They have the same every day (until you start introducing other foods). In this instance, you might be a little behind in supply simply because you've been replacing a certain amount of milk with formula. That will change very quickly as you feed according to his demand. Babies sometimes want to spend more time at the breast because they need you and this is one way they are programmed to get you all to themselves.
