Bella is very simiar to Mia! Bella is 12 weeks and I have been trying to give her a bottle of expressd milk and it turns into WW3. she loves boobie way to much to give it up!!

She has taken a bottle twice out of the dozen times I have offered, she did not drink it all, and it was a huge ordeal. i dont want to turn the bottle into something she hates but I really need time out. I have tried differet teats and bottles, but the nipples all look so oversized compared to my nipple, I wish they made them smaller, not sure if that would help though.

I understand your anxiety over the 'bottle' I am experiencing the same thing and it sux! Would love a magical solution!

    Take care xoxoxo

    We have lift off!!

Mia FINALLY drank something from the bottle this morning - I almost cried with happiness! It was a struggle, but we got somewhere (three weeks later...!)

We started syringing some of the bottle into her mouth so she could get the taste for it first, which she took, and we also added some Infants Friend to the bottle as well, as we know she likes the taste of it. Normally when we put the teat in her mouth, she realises its not the syringe and doesn't take it, but for some reason this morning, DH decided to also squeeze the end of the teat as she had it in her mouth and she started sucking.... and then finished the bottle!!!!

    GO MIA!!!!!!!!!

Woohoo. Congratulations! Now to go out and celebrate
All the best to you M.j - as you can see, you're not alone in your struggle. Hoping your little Bella lets you have a well-deserved break soon.

    Congrats! Go Mia

I hope Bella takes the bottle soon. Spoke to the mid wife at her weigh in (my god she is 7kgs) and she suggested a tippie cup if bottle persistance does not take off. I have decided to keeep trying for the next couple of weeks then we will progress to a tippe cup

    have a good weekend ;-)
