Question unusual question about breastfeeding with implants

    hi everyone,
i have a really unusual question,
has anyone here had breast implants then breastfed?
i had surgery over a year ago and got implants..
i thought i was finished having children .. as i am 40 this year and my kids are 18 and 14
so when i fell pregnant this time i was so surprised.. and excited.
doctors told me that i have a chance of still being able to breastfeed if the surgeon did a good job with my milk ducts..
i know i wont find out until milk comes in ..
but i just wondered if anyone here has had this experience OR know of someone who has..
yes i know strange question? heheh thats me

Congratulations on your exciting surprise! I'm sure some ladies have been able to breastfeed with implants. It might be a good idea to get in contact with the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) for some more detailed information about it. Contact details on their website. Good luck!

    Hi

I am sure there will be women here who have had implants and had babies. The ABA has some info on implants and breastfeeding. Check out this link

    thanks marydean and kate..
have had a look at that link.. very informative.. really appreciate it..
apprently my risk of successfully breastfeeding is low because my areolas and nipples were removed as i had reconstructive surgery.. but there is still a chance..
    thanks for your help ladies..
