Dammit!!!! Does that mean I'm NOT normal??????? hahahahahahahahahaha ROFL!!!
I read yesterday that only 14% of babies in Australia are breastfed by 6 months of age. I was astounded as about 90% of the babies in the groups I go to are breastfed & the ones who are not are for reasons other than Mummy wanting to get ****ed. One Mum has Epilepsy & breastfed for two months while off her medication, she then had a seizure & had to go back on medication that meant she could no longer breastfeed. She considerd the risk of seizure while holding her beautiful DS was too high and formula feeding was the price she had to pay...I think most people would agree with that decision.
Everyone has their reasons for the way they choose to feed...I have moved mountains to continue breastfeeding, others are happy to FF, as hard as it can be I guess we have to respect people's decisions & hope they offer us the same respect back.
Hopefully one day BF will be considered the 'normal' way to feed! It's certainly normal in my part of the world!
