4 month old, 5-10 min feeds?

Ok, so DD2 has started feeding for only 5-10 mins and then not wanting more. She won't accept the other side. She seems happy and is still putting on weight, plenty of wet nappies etc, but is this normal? Has she just become super efficient or is she likely not having much?

my DD2 was exactly the same. By 4 months she was feeding a total of 15 mins per feed. i just followed her lead and she was off the charts for weight so didn't think anything of it. just figured she was an efficient feeder

It's nice to know I'm not alone lol. I just found it weird she suddenly stopped wanting the other side. Oh well. Not complaining lol.

Dd3 never fed for longer than 10 minutes and only ever wanted one side at a time. They know what they need I reckon.

All three of mine have only ever fed for that long. DD1 used to have both sides, but DS and DD2 have only ever had 1. I have to say it's a blessing. I don't know what I would do if I had to be stuck on my bum for an hour at a time lol.

DD was a ridiculously fast feeder and I doubted she was getting enough for months and months but of course she was. I think one of the hardest things with a young baby for me at least is to remind myself to trust them more. They know what they need - most of the time!

Oh and DD only fed from one side at a time until 6 maybe more months. We must have power packed milk

Yep dd was like that, she did always have both sides, but she finished her full feed within about 10 mins. Super fast feeder lol. Occasionally she did only want 1 side, but I always offered 2 from thw beginning because that's what I was told. I now know a few people who never did
Sounds like shes just super efficient hehe

My DS is just over four months and I have also found that he is highly distractable, which means EVERY feed when his older sister is home is a couple of sucks and then trying to get up to see where she is and what she is doing. I will often take him into the bedroom and feed him on the bed, and he will take both sides for me then.

Same, super-quick feeder from early on here. Am sure all is well.

The MACH nurses told me it wasn't long enough but when she kept putting in 250-300 grams a week, they stopped hassling
