Just the witching hour or what I am eating?

Rohan suffers with colic/wind in the evenings. He is fine through the day/night but that slot between 7pm & 9pm he fusses, cries, goes rigid etc.
You can hear his belly gurgling etc.
But is what I am eating? I have a fast let down & he does struggle with that but he manages the rest of the time?

Just wondering if I stop eating or its not that.

eta - I just don't fancy avoiding foods. its a pain in the arse & I have little time to make sure I do eat let a lone make sure I eat "right" KWIM

2 things which set DS off were chocolate & orange juice. It didn't with DD, so I assume each baby is different.

Hmmm maybe it is just a build up over the day, have you tried gripe water or anything to help him get rid of the wind? cycling his legs etc? My daughter had it really bad and cycling her legs, massaging her tummy & a nice warm bath really helped. She used to be fine during the day and turn into a little wild beast at that hr too, so possibly just the witching hr. My dd had silent reflux too though and chocolate, dairy would make her scream in pain for hrs on end.
    Good luck hun

    Marley was/is the same.
I think that by that time they are tired and things and it is just more effort for them to handle the let down, plus the general witching hour stuff - the house is busier, louder, lots going on, people aren't as settled and I think they pick up on that.
I have found though that coffee seems to make her worse.

We use Infant's Friend or Infacol before her evening cluster, and lots of burps and spit ups, but she cluster feeds and goes down well mot of the time. If she is struggling, she will go off to sleep with me rocking her in the rocker, then I just move that into our room, and transfer her to her bassinet when she is totally out to it.

I agree. I think its also just the time of the day. You have a pretty full house and I would expect him to be pretty un happy and tired by that time of the day. I couldnt say if its anything your eating, but I doubt it.

Also agree that he might need some help bringing up some wind at the end of the day.

thanks I picked up some of that colic relief stuff today so will see how we go tonight.
Evan use to be the same & I found tomato, grapes, brocoli etc made him worse. But he was all day not just at one time which is why I got thinking.

    thanks xox

I was hoping there would be an answer OTHER than witching hour lol (as I'm experiencing the exact same with DD2)....

But yeah, I'd have to agree, it is that darned witching hour!
