hi guys!

hoping that someone can offer some advice or info or experiences with bubbas that have posterior tongue tie.

i went to the BF clinic today as i have had recurrent mastitis and thrush (oh the cascade of intervention thing crops up again lol). the LC that i saw immediately recognised that DD wasnt really attaching properly and was fussing etc. so she did a full assesment and explained that DD has a posterior tongue-tie (she was checked 2 weeks ago by a different LC for anterior, which she doesnt have).

My conundrum is that although i fully support her assessment and that i agree that it is only a very mild case etc, i just dont feel comfortable getting her the snip. the reading that i have done in the past couple of hours hasnt really convinced me that it is all that effective in mild cases, and that the excerises can cover the lapse (and cranio-osteopathy apparently!).

BUT as i am totally open to information and doing my research i was wondering what experience you guys have had and what have worked for you guys. And what convinced you to take the snip...

DD is a fussy feeder, but is gaining good weight and i have great supply so no issue on that front...

ANY help or advice is greatly appreciated as i am really torn as to what is the best way forward.
