DS (15months) has been sick the last couple of weeks, and been feeding a lot more often than normal. I'm not concerned about that, as I know he is getting fluids (as he is refusing water when his temp goes right up), mummy cuddles and comfort.
BUT... after he has been on all day I get blisters on my nipples. They aren't milk blisters (well they aren't white?) but more a yellowy clear blister. They really hurt when he feeds and it makes me not want to feed him. They are also making my nipples even more sensitive to the cold (i.e. opening the fridge; getting undressed) which I don't need cos they do a fine job of that by themselves
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of them (I've tried expressing in the shower etc) or do I just have to let them settle on their own? And how can I possibly avoid further ones? I noticed tonight that with every feed they were getting bigger / joining up
Thanks x
