The ABA has a brand spanking new pamphlet out on this! Effectively, aim for one standard drink right after a feed so that by the next feed your BAC (B for Blood AND Breastmilk!) will have lowered or cleared. TheABA website has the pdf for download

If the alcohol had cleared in that hour, no problem. If not, just tweak your drinking style next time. The pamphlet isn't to make you feel bad, just to inform you on how to gauge - it will be different for everyone

And keep in mind the potency of your drink - some wine can be 3 standard drinks per glass, so keep an eye on that too.

One standard drink takes 2-3hrs to get out of your system (I often have a calculator and measuring cup when I have a drink) I hardly ever have a drink until Spence is down for the night which means I have 11hrs until his next feed.

A lot of the premixed drinks and the little bottles of riccadonna are 1 standard drink, riccadonna is a good one to have a lot for your standard drink
