    Unusual sleep?

    Quick question...

A friend of mine at playgroup has twins, a boy and a girl - apparently exclusively breastfed, though I think there is some comp formula feeding in there too - that are sleeping 12 hours without waking for a change or feed through the night. They're 3 months old and good size/weight. None of mine have done this ever, so I thought I'd check if that sounds normal? My 4 month old still clusters at night, anywhere up to as little as an hour between feeds which you know....is fine and great and I know he's healthy, but I get tired

    Hi hon

I dont think it is common but it does happen. DD is 5 months old and has been sleeping 12 hours everynight with a 10 minute feed after 9-10 hours since she was born, just couldnt wake her, even with cool washers etc. There was however a few weeks when teeth were annoying and a bit of a spurt that she fed after 7- 8 hours. I was shocked to encounter this sleep because I was copping it about how she needs to be fed every 3 hours by the midwives. She was also one of the few babies who has only ever had 6 feeds per 24 hours....another no no according to the clinic sister up here
