Preparing for BF my second bubby - any suggestions?
Hi all
I'm only 6 weeks pregnant at the moment but I'm already geting a bit worried about being able to BF my second bub succcessfully.
With my first pregnancy, I was so determined to BF, I joined the ABA before bubs was born - I have flat/inverted nipples so my midwife told me I might have some difficulties. And I did.
My birth was quite traumatic and ended in an emergency cesarean. The breastfeeding was ok and my son was such a good "sucker". When I got home, my problems started and I had to go back to see a LC three times. It turns out I had thrush that wouldn't clear up and I also had nipple vasospasm too so it felt like someone was stabbing me even when I wasn't feeding.
I pumped exclusively to try and heal and after persevering for almost 4 weeks, I made the decision to change to FF. My son was fine with it, he just loved the food and didn't care where it came from.
I was releived too that it was over but now, I'm so determined to try and BF again with my second baby.
I'm wondering if there;s anything I can do to prepare now - should I invest in an electric pump now or wait to see what happens and hire one if I need it?
