    Ticklish nipples

Okay so when dd's feeding doesn't hurt it tickles. And not a good tickle, the kind of tickle where someone has been tickiling you for awhile and you are begging them to stop beause you can't take it anymore but they won't stop and all you want to do is punch them in the face.

In all honesty I prefer the pain over the tickling. The tickling is driving me INSANE. Is there anyway I can stop my nipples from tickling. I keep pulling dd off before she has finished a feed because I can't stand it anymore and she is starting to get super cranky with me.

For everyone who is going to suggest nipple shields, we have tried every brand out there. DD won't take them. My nipples have taken a massive beating over the last 3 months because of her tongue tie and they just seem to be super super sensitive right now.

Is it constant, or is it associated with let-downs?

No it's constant. It's actually better with the let downs, whilst the milk is flowing nice and fast its bearable but as soon as it starts to slow down that is when it becomes unbearable.

Maybe try warm pack on boob to keep it flowing?
It may be as simple as the cold weather is not helping!

I was thinking a bit more about this - I think it is that Piper has actually worked out how to do the "tickle-sucking" that is what is needed to stimulate another letdown. Which in principle is excellent progress!
You need to relax physically as much as you can - breathe deeply, try and let your shoulders droop. That way the letdown will come sooner, and the tickling will stop.
You will probably get less sensitive to it pretty quickly.
