i reckon it could be the vaccines. if everything else is ok, give it a couple days and it should clear up.
AS the title suggests...
DS has had green frothy really pungent poos for 24 hours.
Some background...
He is exclusively BF and I don't think I've changed his feeds lately
We are currently visiting family in Sydney, arrived Friday night, last normal mustard poo was Saturday midday.
Saturday night we went out to a Brazilian BBQ restaurant for my Dads Bday, lots and lots of protein and cheeses too, plus I had half a glass on champagne (first drop of alcohol for over 12 months), I didn't feed him till about 3.5hrs after the alcohol though.
He had his vaccines last monday 29th including rotavirus vaccine.
He is not on any medication (except a little bit of bonjella as he is teething, but he's had bonjella over last 2 weeks without any affect on poos)
He has had green poos occasionally before, but only a random one here or there... none for this long, or this pungent, or FROTHY!
If they don't settle by midday tomorrow I am thinking of going to the GP?
He is happy and smiling and sleeping fine? No temp or anything??

I think green frothy poos can be a sign of a sensitivity to dairy. If you've been having lots of cheese it could explain it. I would go to your gp if his poos aren't normal tomorrow. Abnormal poos are often the first sign of something wrong. I hope he's better soon though!
My son would get those frequently and I always found it was more so a stomach bug than something you have eaten wrong. I would go to the doctor If it continues tommorrow because there is a dehydration concern and also usually is accompanied the following day with some vomiting. I have also found that start putting cream on early because it can burn his poor bum very easily. Otherewise keep up fluids and if it doesnt get any better go to the doctor.
My boys got it after rota virus injections. It can take up to a week to present. But if in doubt go to the doc's
My twins where bf an ff so not sure? I think they are less likely but not immuned.
ff babies are much more prone to gastro, yes, but it is possble for bf babies to get it.
but all better now?
Not frothy and green but still very runny...
they can get this way with a viral infection - even 'just' a cold.
SOunds like the after affects of the rotavirus to me... DS always had after affects for a good week after it. But if you're still worried maybe call or see your GP.
Gawd I hate doctors but I guess I have to go now its been a few days!
Can you just give your GP a call? I did that a couple of times after vax's when I was worried....
