This is probably a silly question, but if I were to buy a house now, ex would have absolutely no rights to it would he?
We've been separated for 3 years, but paying for a divorce is at the very bottom of my list of priorities.

If I do buy, there would be no money from the relationship going into it. There is no money/investments from the relationship.

I only ask because he mentioned it once when he said something about buying. He actually owes me money, but I never thought us being married meant I could help myself to part of his property.

So I just thought I'd double check.
