Exclamation URGENT: single mum seeks rental in Perth

    Hi all,
I have just split with DP and am facing the daunting task of parenting alone. Im staying at my parents for as long as it takes to find my own place but don't want to burden them for too long.

Im 22, my baby girl is almost 5 weeks. Im looking for either my own place/flat/villa, or a place to share with another single mum....needs to be perth south of the river, (prefer cannington/gosnells/armadale area but can't be fussy at the moment) ...I will be on full centrelink benefits in a few weeks so I can afford upto about $220 a week for my own place or about $150 for share place.

Please this is very urgent, please PM me if you have somewhere, or any suggestions, or know anyone looking for someone to share their place, I've looked in the Quokka and they are out of my price range, and I highly doubt any real estate agencies will give me a go (when I was with DP and he worked full time we still couldn't find anywhere)

    Thanks!!

Sorry I cant help, but I also wanted to say well done & wish you all the best. Can your parents help you find a place? Would they be willing to help you out financially, ie chipping in a bit to your rent? I know its a big ask but I can imagine its hard work being a single mama with a newborn.

    Tatt, I'm so sorry hun.
I'll put my thinking caps on for you and keep an ear out... although most of my friends in Perth are at uni and I doubt that would fit in well with a 5 week old bub, with they way they party

Just remember, although you feel like a burden to your parents, they don't see you that way. So try not to stress! xx

Because I am on the other side of the country I can't help you in any practical way, but I really wanted to let you know how brave and strong I think you are, and wish you all the very best. Having such a little one on your own can be tough, but you'll manage really, really well. Best of luck finding a place that suits you both.
