Well if you know of any Narelle's or Melina's.. it might just be us!! haha!:
I have done it (in reverse though). DH and I finished uni and went to live in Southland - bottom of South Island. Pretty but pretty boring. We sold up everything and shifted over to Brisbane. It was a great move careerwise for DH and great life experience living somewhere different. But after DS was born we realised that we needed to be near family so we sold up again and shifted back.
BTW, we don't have that many sheep! And I suspect that most of the North Island is warmer than Tassie - doesn't even snow most places (except where I happen to live in the central volcanic plateau)

Narelle - yep - know of a few from high school. Whether i remember them or not is another thing !
