I am scheduled to C section with in three weeks.
could any one faced low blood pressure issue with anestheia?
How did you manage low blood pressure thing while surgery.I always have issues with anesthesia.it drops my Blood pressure to dangerously low.Once I had black outs and double vision with low BP after GA ( my BP was dropped to 50/45) and lost heaps of blood while Operation. which was the most scary thing.
This time I am very anemic too.I am very scared.
Have you had an interview with your anaesthetist. If not, I guess it will happen on the day of your c/section. Make sure you tell him all that you have said here. would be good if you could get a copy of your previous operation records or a letter from your previous surgeon to explain it all but timewise it might be too late for that. good luck.
Ask to see the anaesthetist at the pre-surgical appointment and explain the problem and ask what they can do about it. I was very worried about this as another friend had problems during her CS but I chatted about with the anaesthetist and he said there are some very specific things they can do to help it if your blood pressure drops. I didn't have any probs with it at all, but given your past history this is something to need to bring up - at the pre-surg appt AND on the day. Good luck!
During my c section with DS (i was awake with a spinal) as i was going in the aneithitist (sp??) mentioned that if i feel light headed or anything to tell him as some people suffer low bp during the procedure. He explained that they had something to give me if this happened (sorry not sure what it was) My bp has always been on the low side so i half joked and said to the guy- you might want to have that ready to go coz i will probably need it he said no worries- its his job to keep an eye on my bp and he said he will watch it closely...
not long into the c section- sure enough i started to feel funny- i looked up to him and managed to say "i think its time for that stuff...." he replied "your right on target love, i am already putting it in your drip.."
Again- i am sorry i still to this day have no idea what it was they gave me, but whatever it was it worked!! I did still feel a bit funny afterwards, but they were onto it, so i think you are safe to know that they are aware this happens and there is something they can give you to help it. Even in our interview a week before i dont remember if my bp was mentioned and thats why they had the "magic stuff" there- but i know i always say my bp is on the low side if anything, so wether they knew this from my interview or if they have it there just in case for anyone i dont know- i am assuming its something they have ready in the room anyway.
How lovely you all are made me quite comfortable and I got a sigh of relief atleast their is solution for that.I am booked in public hospital hope they have same procedure and they interview me before my op so I can tell them what I have been through in my previous surgery.
I feel much much calm now
would you please write me when did you start eating after surgery. stronf pain medications on empty stomach really makes me weak.
