    Healing scar....a teensy bit weepy

I had my cs about 2.5 weeks ago and I've been pretty sooky this time around.....I
Mon antibiotics for a uti and I've been pretty achey around my scar, mostly at night. Tonight I notcex that right at the end of the scar, the skin is broken and split. It was a teensy bit weepy but I wiped it and it was just a 2mm split in the scar. The rest of it is healing fabulously, almost invisible in a couple of sections. I'm already on antibiotics so I figure there's only minimal risk of infection and I'll keep an Eye on it and call the ob if it gets worse. Has anyone else had this?

Hey I haven't had this but couldn't read and not post.

Try putting a couple of steristrips over the wound that way it allows for breathing and helps it to heal like the rest of your scar.

Congrats on your birth hun x

Thanks-great idea! Do I just get steristrips from the chemist?

i had the same thing i just left it. remember you have internal sutures underneath, it still feels yucky though. mine was right on the far right only small and a bit weepy and itchy. just keep an eye on it.

After you have a shower, blow the scar area with a hairdryer - that way it should be dried really well, rather than trying to pat dry it with a towel.

I had that happen too. Just went to the midwife who cleaned it for me ... I couldn't see it properly lol .. then she recommended putting a pad over it to keep it dry ... Skin fold, sweat etc ... worked a treat
