Is this normal

I got my first proper period on Xmas day since delivering dd2 by csection in October. I had a small bleed 6 weeks after delivery but not a Proper period. Anyway for the last 3 days my period has been extremely heavy - like I bleed through a regular tampon within an hour/hour and a half. This is day 3 of this and I am exhausted!! Is this normal for the first? Dd1 was a vaginal delivery and I do not remember my first period being like this...

My first AF back after c/s (baby in March, AF in December) was like that - going through super tampons *and* pads within hours ... lasted about 8 days - 5 very heavy, 2 normal, one light.

Ask your Dr about whether you should have some iron supplements, maybe.

Yep, that is what mine were like after DS. I've gone back on the pill to help control them.

Mine were like that with DS1 (foreceps delivery) but with DS2 (CSection) I just stopped feeding him (must change my ticker!!) and my milk dried up straight away, got period 3 weeks later on Christmas Day (joy!) and it only lasted 3 days, whereas they used to be 7 days and painful, so I am hoping this is a sign of things to come. I also thought it might be because of my age (41). Anyway, it might just be the first one that's like this for you? I hope so. Xoxo.
