Hi
I wasn't sure where to post this, so I hope it is OK here.
I am having a ceasar in March and would like to have a tummy tuck afterwards.
Does anyone know if it can be done immediately after, as in while I am still in surgery after the ceasar.
I will be having my baby in Newcastle Private. Any suggestions for a suitable surgeon would be appreciated also.
Regards
LisaB.
Wow Meekoh, that was really rude. From what I understand, a tummy tuck can be performed straight after a C-Section before you're stitched up. It's not a very uncommon thing.
LisaB- I don't have any answers for you hun but wish you all the best
I guess what I'm trying to say is that that time is so precious. You'll already be having major abdominal surgery... to put yourself and your body under that much stress when all you'll want to be doing is focussing on your beautiful bub.
But whatever makes you happy.
I think though that it's time for me to leave this forum. I had thought it had a lot more to do with natural parenting. I don't think it's the place for me.
Meekoh - it is a gentle parenting forum that has enough scope to provide discussion and support to those who have a differing perspective. Just because it is not something you would consider does not mean someone else can't. It has been placed in the caesarian support section, not one of the more gentle sections. However, I wish you well if you choose not to be part of an overall supportive community.
lmbmcb - I have no personal experience in that area and it may not be possible if your caesarian is done under a spinal / epidural anaesthetic (ie when you are conscious). Your best options would be to discuss with your OB and contact the plastic surgeons who work out of the same hospital to see if it is a service they offer. The *mummy-tuck* seems to be more prevalent in some areas (and countries) than others.
