Contractions after C/Section

I'm having my second c/s in July and vaguely remember reading something somewhere about contractions after the c/s which you don't get after your first. Is this true and if so how long does it last? I went thru labour and forceps then had an emergency c/s the first time so I think I can cope with the pain (and take drugs!) when/if it happens. I guess I can ask my Ob but I'm not seeing him until next Thursday and I'm just curious.

I was in the same situ ie. emerg c/s then elective c/s and i had a really great experience with the second one. No after pains at all, didn't need many drugs - only a few panadeine forte, was up and about next day and able to hold and feed bub really well. Not sure if thats the norm or not - just my experience.
