Question 2011 Kluger who has one???

    Hello
We are looking at a Toyota Kluger 7 seater KX-R.. Just a couple of questions to those who have one:
How do you find it to drive?
How is it with the kids seats in the back?
    Whats it like on fuel?
What are the pros and cons?

Please any other information that can help us would be great.

Looking forward to hearing your replies

We had a Kluger in 2009/2010 and we are getting another one soon (DH gets a new company car each year) and it is a great car .

We fit three car seats in the middle row with no problems. It's a bit difficult to get to the back two seats if the middle three all have car seats attached because you can't fold down the seats so you have to climb through the back. There are no anchor points in the rear two seats from memory.

Driving it was very easy, although I found it a bit bulky to park (but that might be because I normally drive a tiny Yaris!). Fuel economy is OK, being a big car, it's not going to be cheap, but it's not exorbitant either (you'll probably be able to find the fuel consumption on the Toyota website).

We looked at the Kluger today however they didnt have the 2011 in stock yet. I can confirm no anchor points on the last two seats (ie third row of seats), the split which is good though, but you have to climb in from the boot like Trish said if you have all 3 seats in middle row being used. We havent decided yet on a car.

Maybe Trish do you know is it legal to put a booster in the back row (ie, where there is no anchor points). The dealer told us to check with RTA cause he said he doesnt think so.

Oooh, I'm not sure Belle? We put DS1 (who is in a booster) in the back occasionally when we had other people in the car with us. I can't see why you can't, but it's probably worth finding out if you're worried.

I've just bought a 2009 one. Have driven the 2011 but didn't want the extra $10K which it would cost to buy it brand new.

It's illegal to have a tethered booster in the collapsible seats, but a non-tethered booster is ok. Note though that you can't use a H harness in the last row either.

I think it's the *best* car!

Looks like it is the way to go for us..
We got a quote and they have taken over $6000 off the price for us to purchase a new one which has also helped us
Just have to wait for our money to come through from the sale of the house and i guess i will be driving a new Kluger..
