What do you keep in your car?

What things do you always keep in your car?
    Me......

    A fold out safety triangle
    A first aid kit
Sun screen (for the back of my hands but I want driving gloves)
    A packet of nappy bags
    A packet of wipes
In winter I carry a blanket (I'm meant to take it out in summer but it's still there lol)

And an assortment of moldy leftovers, empty drink bottles, odd socks, sports equipment and discarded packaging. The joys of being a children's chauffeur....

I don't keep much in my car. I only have a tool kit and a pump pack of sunscreen. I collect straws and serviettes from various take away places because you never know when they might be handy lol. THen of course, I have a heap of rubbish and random items the kids have left in there.

What do you keep in your car?

First aid kit (mine is not a standard kit), hats for everyone (beanie for DH in winter), tissues, spew bag in the glove box, usually an umbrella, picnic rug, any number of dd's toys, pen/s, paper, my work id's, have to put the fire extinguisher back in... Not sure what else because DH just cleaned it out. But there is usually half a dozen water bottles ranging from empty to full. I usually have a neuro torch and mini mag light as well but DD killed the neuro torch and I haven't been stuffed to replace it yet. The mag light got grabbed when we moved and had no power and consequently got lost. Oops. Better get a new one!

Jackets for all three of us and misc clothes for just in case moments
    Blankets
    First aid kit
    Sunscreen
    Wipes, serviettes
    Bottled water
    Picnic blanket
Small compressor for emergency tire pumping
    Pens/paper
    Pain killers
    Tool kit
    Maps
    Torch
    Change
    Sunnies
    Hats/beanies
    Shoes
Deck of cards, Yahtzee and trivial pursuit games (too many king hours of boredom in broken down truck so thy are standard now!)
    Barley sugar or similar
    Tow ball and plug adaptor
Some toys and books for e
Soft basket/bucket for stashing stuff in

Thankfully, apart from a bit if clutter in the back away from dd ditching everything on the floor, it mostly fits under the "floor" on the back of the SUV so t doesn't actually take up any room

reading all this makes me want to actually sort though my car and see exactly what I have. I have got a bag of stuff but it was pre kid, and put together years and years and years ago I dont actually remember what is in there. probably worth a look.
    I know I do have:
pens and paper, maps, picnic rug, tampons, tissues, pack of cards, jacket, screwdrivers and other assorted tools (care of DH stocking it up for me), oil and brake fluid (And whatever is left in the bottles after I top my car up with assorted fluids), water (not drinkable, was at some stage...but wouldn't touch it now, its for the engine) phone charger.... thats all i can actually remember...im sure there is/was a torch, but wouldn't be sure

So no one has a tyre lever and jack to change their car tyre if they need to? What do you do if you get a flat?

    We have
    A first aid kit/strapping kit
    toilet paper
    spew bag
    assorted plastic/reusable bags
    tyre lever and jack
    small tool set
    chamois
    service books
    water
    waeco fridge
    torch
    batteries
    sunscreen
    lip balm
    moisturiser
    loose change
    mobile/game console chargers
    map book
    tissues

What do you keep in your car?

Lol I was just about to say most cars come with a jack and tyre brace unless it's quite old.

I used have a lot more in there, but with 4 kids there isn't that much room to keep stuff. So I end up packing what I think we will need for each trip.

Oh a have a multi-tool and small Stanley knife in the glovebox.

But you have reminded me I need to find a permanent spot for my toolbox again.

    I have:
First aid kit (including a CPR mask)
    Torch
    Tool kit
    Jumper leads
    Water
    Jacket
    Towel/s
    Old sheet
    Pens
Shopping bags (which never see the light of day!)
    Tissues
    Dog lead/harness
    Phone charger
    Navman
    Map

I have asked Santa for a car fire extinguisher as well as I think I should have one of those

A lot of the other things people have mentioned live in my handbag which is always in the car with me anyway (wipes, tampons, etc).

My Rav has a super storage space under the tray in the boot so you don't even know all this stuff is in there!

Astrid: Can I ask why you only have a fire blanket in your car in Summer?

ETA I have all the standard equipment that comes with the car when you buy it - so yes jack/spare, etc, log books, manual all of that stuff.

Most cars come with a tyre and jack so I just count it as part of the car not something I carry. My old car had run flats so I didn't carry a spare.
