We are looking at upgrading our station wagon to a people mover and would like to know which of these 3 you would choose...
DH wants something that has good carrying space and I want something that makes it easy to access the kids in the back and also has space as they grow.
We are looking at buying 2nd hand (up to $20k - $22k max) so would like some recommendations/opinions if you own one of these.
I also need at least 3 anchor points for 3 carseats and need easy access into the rear row of seats,
I don't own one, but there have been four iMax's bought by school mums recently. They all say that the extra space that they have in the "back back" is what made teh Imax the winner - big complaints all around that there is no room for shopping, prams etc if you have all three rows of seats up with the other vehicles. I'm lusting after one too because I'm completely over trying to do up seatbelts with three seats squished in side by side.
We have used an Imax as a hire car a couple of years ago, it comfortablely fitted 5 adults, a baby and all our luggage for a 5 day trip. I've never been in the others so can't help with those, sorry.
I can vouch for the Chrysler Grand Voyager! We have a 2009 model with the "stow and go" seats and its very roomy in the back as it has a full sized boot. (It's similar in size with the kia carnival that has the longer wheel base. We came close to buying one of them but DH found a second hand diesel Chrysler so that won for fuel economy reasons).
The only downside is that the back row seat is on the small side when you need to seat 3 but the fact that they fold flat under the floor very quickly and easily negates that. If transporting stuff is just as important as seating people then you won't care!
Since we've had it we have moved house, I've filled it with Ikea goodness and last week DH had it full of pallets.
