    is it simple enough...

last night I hit a pillar in a parking lot on the driver door. the place was empty & I swung out of the parking spot wide & didn't realise I was next to a pole anyway I have dented the door but it looks like it would just pop back out so was thinking of taking the inside panel off & seeing if it will.

but is it that simple? electric windows etc, will i be able to even get to the dent? KWIM

I don't know that it's that simple really, especially with electric windows. Most repair places for a minor dent would use a suction device from the outside of the door to pop it back into place.

yeah I watched a few you tube things, I could take it off no problems, the electrics don't bother me, its more the frame work etc. I wouldn't be able to get to the area I don't think so will leave it. I will buy a plunger LOL. If that doesn't work then I will pop into a panel beater & see if they can help me out cheaply.

you should be able to get to it. take off the door lining and behind there will be a plastic sheet that is glued down. peel plastic sheet off carefully. you should be able to get to fair bit of door where dint is. but if it is behind side intrusion beam, go to a panel beater. You need to glue/stick the plastic sheet down again when you are finished. (This is from DH)
