Car seats / booster seats over 26kgs???

Does anyone know of any car seats or booster seats that have a maximum weight of OVER 26kgs????

I am looking everywhere, but cann't seem to find any sold in Australia.
My DD is 5 yrs old and already 26-27kgs, she is currently on a booster cushion (which has a maximum weight of 26kg). We are looking for another booster for her as we are going to get a new car in a few months time, but really don't want to buy one that she 'technically' is too heavy for.

It is really quite frustrating with these new laws. We would like to keep her in a carseat or booster for longer, but she hase already outgrown (weight wise) all the ones I can find on the market, but is still 3cms too short to sit in the car without a carseat at all. And it isn't like she is overweight at all, it is all muscle mass.

I tried looking everywhere around 18mths ago as we had the same problem and unfortunately I couldnt find anything at all. Sorry.

OK. So after researching endlessly and talking to many carseat sales people. There are NO Australian standards carseats with a listed weight of more then 26kg. Having said that: ALL toddler/booster seats with the 26kg rating on them have to pass the testing with an actual weight of 32kgs or more. Some of the same seats (s'n's) hold here in Australia with the 26kg max weight on them are also sold overseas in Brittan and the US with the max weight stamped at 32kgs there (the seat itself is identical, the difference in maximum weights is due to Australian standards regulations or something). S'n'S are looking at updating and changing their labeling system to fit in better with the new laws (a bit of confusion about how at this point, but likely doing away with weights and working off heights and ages instead) - the carseats aren't changing though, just the labels.

In the meantime, those children who slip throught the cracks with this new legislation (who are still required to be in a seat, but are heavier then the maximum weight - but lighter then 32kgs) should continue to use one of the booster seats rated for up to 26kgs, using height as the dertimination as to choosing which particular seat.

Hope that helps save someone else the headache I had trying to find the information.

I've been grappling with the same issue. DS1 is getting too tall for his seat (eyes above the back) as well as being almost too heavy.
I wanted a booster cousin thingy - the seat without the side but they are only rated to 26 kg as well.
Baby bunting has something called the Hi-Liner Expandable Booster Seat that is for 4-8 year olds but it is a big seat not just a smaller booster.... I was hoping for something a bit easier to install and move about.

Want to know the most stupid thing??? My DD who was 27kgs when I first started looking into this, has had a groth spurt, grown taller and now only weighs about 23kgs! LOL.

Just bumping and wondering how others have gone with height etc?
DD1 is in an Infa Kid Max and her shoulders are almost too broad, so she is sitting forward of the seat. She is just 4cm shy of the max height of the Hi liner as well. Any suggestions? The Britax website says to move to the 8-10 booster but I can't find one. I have a thing about being safe in the car and looking for more info. She is tall as in size 7 mostly 8's for clothes so I guess we are going to be out of seats sooner rather than later but she only 5.5 and not even at school yet.
