Am i entitled to the baby bonus if i live overseas?

Will be having baby in Melbourne and be there for a couple of months. I presumed i wasn't eligible, but looking at the criteria, it says i have to be a citizen, which i am but i can't figure out if i still get it or not if i'm living in another country.....

they will look at your residential status around the time of the birth hun - when you leave australia, it is dependent on whether it is deemed to be temporary or permanent, and the pattern of living in Australia. if you are only overseas dfor DH's work, and you still consider yourself Australian and will be returning in the near-ish future (within 3 years) that would all be looked at as being Australian for baby bonus purposes

No idea about the plasma TV bonus but you might be eligible for the living away from home allowance.
