    Another PPL question

Just wondering if anyone can save me half an hour of sitting on hold with the FAO...

Instead of recieving 18 weeks of PPL, am I able to recieve 36 weeks at half pay?

Is it up to my employer or do they legally have to pay me the full PPL amount for 18 weeks?

    Thanks in advance

General consensus here is no. Your employer can speak to the FAO liaison to confirm but everything I've read is 18 weeks full pay. There is no option for half pay that we've been advised of

I'm pretty sure 18 weeks is the max the government will pay. It is up to the individual employer and their own parental leave schemes regarding longer or extra payment but this is independent of government (for the gov PPL the employer is merely a conduit for facilitating payment).
