I just logged on to Clink online because i know baby bonus runs out soon so was wanting to see if it was this week or not and i noticed a large sum being paid to me on the 1st of Feb. I looked at it and it is arrears FTA & B + rent assistance.
Does this mean they've been paying me less then they should and are now catching up? My regular payment is still remaining the same after this payment?
Im just hoping they havent stuffed up because we could really use this money to fix our car! Maybe things are FINALLY looking up
means you over estimated last financial year, the details of your taxable incomes have been received, and you're getting a top up of any ftb you missed due to that overestimate
So late in the year tho? Or was the estimate for 2010 and not the financial year? I was working last financial year and DD was born this financial year, apart from having DSD 28% we would not receive anything?
hmm that's different then (reco can happen any time, depending on when ATO send your stuff across).
if it was just ftba and rent assistance i'd wonder if you have your older daughter as a "registered" care child for FTB purposes - if you have between 14 and 34% care, even if you don't get ftb for her, you would still get rent assistance. have you only recently provided a copy of your lease/tenancy agreement to c'link?
i would probably not plan on spending it til you find out what dates it applies to, and which child - maybe check what percentage they have you down for with your older DSD...
We havent changed any details recently, but DSD is 'registered' with us for child support reasons, before we had DD we were getting about $50 a fortnight for our time with DSD. I have triple checked the % because i was so paranoid about them having it wrong and having to pay back lots of money so i know the % is correct.
How can i find that out, i imagine Clink are super busy right now with floods and stuff. Do i need to call them or will it show up online somewhere? Actually they'll send me a letter wont they? Thats what usually happens with other new payments?
