Check my child.gov.au. You can find centres with vacancies that way. Can't help with the "nice" part though :)

I'm so confused now :( I've been given now 2 differings lots of information from 2 ph operators....
When I called CL and asked the questioin....
My childcare cost are $68 p/d.
If I claim a zero % CCB, can I have the 50% CCR paid direct to the centre and put in a claim for any CCB I may have been entitled to at the end of the financial year. So effectively, each week I would be out of pocket $34. I was told, yes I can do this. Great!
So come today, I have trouble with on-line services and call CL to be told NO, you can't do, CL will only pay the 35% of the CCR to the centre through out the year and keep the rest until the end of the financial year. Not so great...
Now I don't know what to do.... I don't know the formula they use to work this out, now i'm concerned that based on the 2nd lot of info, I won't be able to afford CC. I'm so confused..
If I claim the CCB through the year and have the CCR paid to the centre, it's still doesn't work out....
ARGH! GRRR
the second lot of information is incorrect.
you have to register for ccb, but claim it at nil rate til end of year. given you are not currently receiving ftb, you may need to do this claim online
if you get ccb at nil rate (0%), you WILL get 50% of the bil paid each day, up to the max per year (7500 per kidlet).
you may have to pay the full bill the first week, and then get the credit from week one on the bill for week two, week two on week 3 etc - depends how the centre bill you
this thread has it all there, including links to the human services website, where you can see it all written down on official site to confirm it for yourself
BG if i go into an office and speak to someone can they help me lodge this? I have a headache trying to work it all out.
I read the website and it reads exactly how I had it in my head..... but i'm concerned that i will do the claim and still end up with this confusion...
no, the office staff will point you to a computer or a phone - they are there primarily for stuff that things like new claims and things. our local area has one of the highest rates of unemployment in australia, and, over the time i've been with c'link, has gone from 100 FT staff to less than 15
I've done it now. No idea if I've done it right and if I haven't I can't change it and will have to jut suck it up.
Not a reflection on u BG, I am just frustrated that by trying to do the right thing but being told conflicting things when I call and when I say I need help because I dont understand the wording etc is annoying. I work with young people everyday and its no wonder they lose payments or find it difficult to claim payments. As a grown woman I find it difficult o understand and navigate, it's no wonder they find it difficult.
I know they have a big job, but still, I need the correct info.
if there is any confusion with your application, they will call you when processing (i sit with the girls that process at the moment)
you can call up and have it noted on your file that you want ccb at nil rate and ccr direct to the service if you are concerned about the application being wrong - they will send notification to the processing team who will make sure those are the options put in place when they do your application
