So I've been getting Single parenting payment - That's ok...
The opposite week I get Family Tax...
I haven't been getting my rent assistance for the last 3months (I needed to provide a rent certificate, but it kept getting sent to the wrong place)
My Child support has also gone down 30 P/f this has DECREASED my payment by $20.
This week I have gotten my Rent assistance sorted - I now get rent assistance *yay* I thought this might help with things! But it has DECREASED my FTA+B and i'm now getting 100+ rent assistance, but it's only increased my payment by $10
I thought getting less childsupport and getting my rent assistance would give me more money not less
the child support thing may not have made a huge difference - there are amounts of payment you can receive that don't impact your payment much, so if it's dropped you from "just over" the income threshold for maintenance income, to "under" the threshold, the change to your payment would be minimal (very hard to explain without exact numbers)
there has to be more to it than meets the eye - getting rent assistance should increase your payment, not decrease it. i am wondering if it's to do with maintenance action - have you arranged your maintenance via the child support agency or privately? if it's been organised privately and not through the child support agency, it can result in your ftba dropping quite significantly
