Family benefit payment date

Hi

Does anyone know if you can change the day on which your family tax benefit is paid? I want to change to next week as my payday has changed.

I changed mine years ago. It's worth a call to see if they still do it.

Payment date can be changed.
You just need to be aware that your first payment might be "messy" in terms of amount as you are paid in arrears. If you are normally paid this week (say Wednesday) and you change to The same day next week, it will be a only half the amount, and then waiting for a fortnight for a full instalment. If you also change the day of the week it can result in a much different payment. So make sure you get all the details of your future payments so that you're not left short when it comes in
