    Lump sum CCB payments

Just wondering if anyone knows roughly how long it takes?

I have put in 2 lump sum claims online for DS for last financial year and the previous one too. I don't have to hand in any documents etc. and my taxes have been done for both financial years. I only submitted them last week but with the silly season here the extra $$ would be handy!

standard processing time for FAO is 4 weeks for a lump sum claim - this will blow out to about five when the Christmas/New Year holidays are taken into account
after that, a request will be sent to the ATO to confirm income - can be another two plus weeks if you haven't already had the details provided for FAO reconcilliation
if your child care centre hasn't already provided the usage statements, it can delay it as you won't know until you get a letter stating that it has been rejected based on no children in care (i would suggest you contact your child care centre and ask them to make sure the usage statements have been submitted, and re-provide them with your CRN and your kidlet CRN too) just to be sure it's done and it isn't them holding up the process

i can pretty much assure you that you won't see money before Christmas if you only submitted the online applications last week sorry hun

You still could be right! I called this morning as the amount paid seemed quite low and they said that was only for 1 year... so still waiting on the 08/09 financial year but hey... I have got half of it so woo hoo
