    Medicare??

    Hi all!

So on my application for BB and FTB there was something about medicare?? Do I need to fill out something seperate for medicare to get DD on my card?? I was under the impression the form I filled in meant I would get a new card sent to me and DD is almost 13 weeks old and still no card.

    TIA

Im pretty sure theres another form for it?! I cant remember now. But on the BB or FTB form you have to do over the net im pretty sure they ask for the child reference number on the card, so you would have to know fot that? I probably confused you more lol sorry! Hope somebody comes in and helps you out

it should be automatically done when you lodge the form. if you send it in the replied paid envelope, or lodge at medicare, it's done before it goes to c'link. if it goes to c'link first (so you drop at an office) it may be filed without passing it on to the medicare team to process their part. it would be unintentional, but with all the additional flood/cyclone processing at the moment, staff are run off their feet and working on auto-pilot to catch up, so things may be filed without checking medicare part has been done

I took my form to Medicare cause my Dr doesn't bulk bill unless on card and bubba had apt 1wk post birth then I took to centrelink myself cause I wanted to make sure it got there. The lady at Medicare/family ass office said they send it off after they do their bit but luckily DH hadn't signed it so she had to give it back.

I think what BG said has prob happened.
