Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question - but will my employer or Family Assistance / CL be paying my PPL?
I am just registering myself online and mentioned it to my boss. The company I work for is small and has never paid maternity leave of any kind before... so it's been left up to me to organise!
I don't really know where to start. From what I've read, the company needs to apply for an AUSkey and then with FA.
Am I correct in thinking that because I'm not a Director or publically listed as an authorised person, I will need on the Directors to complete the online application?
Can I nominate to be paid by FA / CL? Would that be easier than setting everything up online for my workplace (considering the only other female in the place a 20yo who isn't in a relationship and isn't planning kids anytime soon)?
While I'm not in HR, I'm the only admin in the office, so if I don't organise it - it won't happen. I just have no clue where to start??
Will one of the Directors need to contact FAO directly or can I call FAO on their behalf and find out what is required and simply get the Director to sign off on it (that is usually how things works around here)??
there is an employer contact line (i think it's available on the fao or c'link websites) that they need to contact and they'll walk them through registering. it's not something you can do - if you contact, you'll be told to get your employer to do it
