FTB payments and Child Support

Hi sorry about the quick and possible unpunctuated post am on my phone, my ex hasn't been paying child support - last payment was 8 weeks ago and silly me only just realized that my ftb payments are lower because as far as they know I have been recieving c/s. he hasn't informed them of any changes and we have always been private collect. I've let it go for the last 2 months hoping he'll get it together n pay but have received absolutely nothing. He has 0% care as he lives 1200kms away (he moved). I will be calling Csa and possibly centrelink? Tomorrow and was just wanting to know if anyone else has been in this position? If u have seen any thing in terms of backdated payment etc.

If you are private collect there will be no back payment as it is assumed you are collecting payment

Contact CSA and arrange for them to collect for you. They ten notify centrelink at tax time exactly what you've received and you may get arrears/top up at end if financial year reconciliation if he hasn't paid during the year.

Thanks for your reply, I have spoken to CSA and they are changing the case to they collect. They also said that they can collect in arrears of up to 3 months so now I just have to wait out the processing time and fingers crosses I'll see some sort of payment from him.... Eventually!
