Is it possible to chart temps whilst breastfeeding before your 1st AF arrives or is it best to just stick to observing CM/CP? I haven't gotten AF back yet but DH & I want to TTC #2.
Hm... and speaking of CM/CP does breastfeeding cause any differences there?
I am no expert, but I will give you a snapshot of my experience. I began charting as soon as my bleeding settled down after Charlie's birth (2 weeks) and I am breastfeeding, and he is now 8 weeks old.
My temps were pretty stagnant, and my cm was negligable, for about 4 weeks.
A month after Charlie was born I got EWCM again, and a couple of days after, my temp rose, and 2 weeks after that, AF came back, exactly 14 days from when I had the temp rise.
SO, even though Charlie is still fully BF, I have obviously got a fairly normal cycle back again.
In my case it was easy to pick.
So I see no reason to stop you from relying on charting to TTC? Fingers crossed you will see a temp rise & then GO FOR IT!!!!!
Thanks Lucy. Hopefully we will be able to catch the first ovulation! Surely it won't be long as Kynan has been sleeping 12+ hours overnight and feeding 3-4 hourly during the day since 10 weeks!
