I'm hoping someone experienced in charting can give me some advice!
I have been using OPK's and CM observations for the past 8 months, and have found my cycle to be pretty regular, with Ov around CD 21 or 22 of a 35 day cycle. One cycle I O'd on CD19 and another of CD 24.
I just started temping this month, so have never had the use of temp data before.
I am on CD 26 today, and no temp rise . It has been steady at 36.4 or 36.5 all week! I also didn't get that clump of EWCM (sorry for TMI) that I usually get, and I ran out of OPK strips, so I wasn't able to test on CD23,24,25, but all tests before that were negative.
The obvious answer is that I haven't ovulated yet, but this is the first time I have been so late EVER since I started charting, and I'm concerned I have either missed it or there's something wrong. Could I be stressing out and that delay things?
How common is it for an anovulatory cycle to happen seeing all of my other cycles have been fine and quite regular? I'm not sure whether to give up TTC now and just wait for AF to arrive and start all over again next month, or keep BDing until that temp goes up, IF it even goes up!
What do you guys think? Has this ever happened to you?
Hi Em, could be either a late o or anovulatory cycle. You asked how common anovulatory cycles were - i'm not sure on percentages but i personally have had 1 that i definately know of in the last 12 months. I guess it just happens as i was given no reasonable explanation. During that cycle i didnt get ewcm either.
But it aint over till the fat lady sings so i would just keep bding and monitoring cm and cervical position. When you o is should be high and soft and when you are not fertile low and firm.
All the best.
What cycle day did you start testing on? If you didn't start from CD1 it is possible that you had lower temps earlier in the cycle and 36.4 & 36.5 are your post O temps. My post O temps are around that mark & pre O temps are from 35.8-36.3
