Calling all tempers and cervix checkers!

I have a question for you....

Firstly, about my chart. Its flatlining... should I be worried? My last cycle was so erratic! I'm not sure if this is good, bad, or uneventful! Can you get pregnant with such a flat chart?

Second... just wondering... what should you cervix feel like if you are pregnant? I know around O it should be high and soft, and around AF it gets low and firm. What about pregnancy? Does it do anything different? Just wondering!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi leasha

well my cervix position doesn't follow a pattern. But i don't always check it at the righttime either, so thats maybe why it is unreliable for me

Abd i just use my chart as a guide as there is no specific preggo chart as they can all lok different yet you could still be pregnant or not pregnant. Unfortunately its just a waiting game LOL, until a BFP of course, wishing you all the best

PG cervices are usually high and soft too, but often they can come down as usual pre-AF and stay there (while AF doesn't show) before heading north again so until you're about 6 or 7 weeks they're not all that reliable to be honest (like some women find they shoot up there right away, others find them hanging low for a good while, so it's hard to know. After this PG you will know what YOUR cervix does ).

Your chart looks pretty good to me. You've got a definite jump to show O and from the looks of last month i'd say your IUI was better timed this time. I know they do it all mathematically/medically and so on, but as far as i'm concerned the EWCM makes a BIG difference to conception and you had plenty of it, and on IUI day this time, so all in all i'd say it looks great.

    Best of possible luck hun.

PS - random question, which you can ignore if you choose - the sperm, is it the same anon donor each IUI or just same general characteristics...? I am merely curious

    Hi Netti and Bec...

Thanks for setting my mind at ease. I'm never sure... I have sort of posted about this before... when I had a CD21 BT before we started TTC it showed elevated levels of LH, and my FS doesn't monitor that, so I get a bit obsessive with my LP wondering "is that because of the LH?!?!? will I not get pregnant" I am worying, though I shouldn't be if my FS isn't right?

Bec... Yep, same sperm donor each time, we chose a specific one, with Shel's characteristics. Lucky there was one - Shel is brown hair, blue eyes, tans easy, and very tall, and we got a PERFECT match!!!! So we are hopefully going to get pregnant with this one.

Your FS probably monitors what is RELEVANT very carefully - otherwise they'd be out of a job! So it's unlikely that your raised LH makes any difference. I used Billings NFP for years (which uses cervical fluid only to predict ovulation and allow one to avoid pregnancy) and it is VERY effective (94-96%) if done right. That EWCM is food and fuel and a nice fast passage for the spermies, without it things are more difficult and with it everything is much easier. I seriously think you could have IUI on O day but without EWCM to feed them and help them swim faster you might very well be unlucky...

THis is not medical knowledge, just anecdotal opinion! I also know a fair few women who NEVER saw any EWCM (because in them it stays high and doesn't come down and out) and have lots of kidlets, so it's not a blanket rule. I wouldn't have been susprised at all if you got PG last month, but given you didn't, IMO this month's chart looks even better, kwim?

That's cool they had someone with Shel's looks etc. and that you can use them. I'm a big fan of dark hair/blue eyes myself

    Everything crossed!!!

    Hun,
I would say the same as Bec... This chart is certainly looking better that last month, much more stable. Bring on that BFP!

Your temps have only flatlined as I'm assuming your BBT only has 0.1 degrees on it, am I right? The ones that have O.02 degrees are more accurate and you probably wouldn't get that kind of flatline with it.

Also, don't read too much into your cervix position. I've been checking mine for a long long time and I still get confused with mine! As for early preg cervix, most women don't show a high soft cervix until a few weeks into pregnancy so it really won't tell you if you are pregnant or not. You'll just have to wait it out with the rest of us I'm afraid!

Best of luck. I hope you get that BFP this cycle!!!
