    temping post loss of baby

We lost our baby son (16w3d) last thursday, and I have been temping since the day after his birth. What day would be CD1 - the day of his delivery (late thursday night) or the next day?

Also is there any point temping at the moment, as I would still have HCG in my system would I be better waiting until next cycle?

    Thanks

    Hi Clare

I am terribly saddened to hear about the loss of your son Max. How are you doing? Silly question I know as I know you must be devestated.

I miscarried at 10w2d and had a D&C almost a month ago now. I have only just started temping again as I didn't think all the HCG levels would be out of my system. I think I can only truely get an accurate indication when my period returns. I put on my chart the day I had my D&C which was my CD1. Not sure if this helps but had wondered the same. I think my system is going to be a bit out of synch as I should be getting my period in the next couple of days but there are no indications that she is on her way.

    Hi Claire.

I am sorry to hear of you loss.

I temps not long after my loss (it was a natural loss so I counted the first day od bleeding as CD1). My 1st cycle was anonvulatory, I suppose I had HCG in my system until I got my 1st AF after my loss. It can't hurt to start charting.

I wish you all the luck in the world
