I'm not sure I can help much, either, though.
I think it all comes down to how the minipill works (and this is something I've had no experience with!). Do you still ovulate while taking it? I know the regular pill stops ovulation, but I vaguely recall reading somewhere that the minipill doesn't - I could be wrong, though.
If you still ovulate, then presumably you will still see the same changes in temperature from before ovulation to after ovulation. But if the minipill is doing something to change hormone levels, then it may not be accurate.
At worst, try it for a cycle or two and see what actually happens. It may not work, but then again, it might. There's certainly no harm in trying.

maybe once every 1 or 2 years. It obviously has not affected my fertility though
