    Hi Ebru

It might be good to check out the articles on charting your cycle and conception on BB main site, coz the way we need to think about our cycles is in 2 phases, with 2 major events: ovulation (o) and menstruation ('periods' or 'aunt flow' AF). Even when you have a really regular cycle, things like illness, stress, diet and tiredness can affect when you ovulate. So the time between your period and ovulation is the phase that can change length, and make your next period later than expected. However, the time between ovulation and your next period generally stays the same every cycle. The only thing (apart from certain medications and therapies) that can make this second phase longer is pregnancy, and then you're in a totally different phase of reproduction anyway!

So what you need to do is to find out when you o! You can do this by charting temperatures or other signs, or by using Ovulation Predictor Kits (OPKs). Have a look around BB to find out how other ladies do this, and keep asking questions!

Good luck on your ttc journey

You ovulate based on the first day of your cycle. So if you usually ovulate on CD14, no matter what date your AF starts you will still ovulate on CD14
