Day 1 is counted from the first day of full flow, not spotting! Welcome to BellyBelly, I hope your path to conception is short and sweet.
Hiyas,
This is my first post - so be gentle
We have decided just this month to start TTC and after doing a bit of reading have one question ... stuff I've read on the 'net tell you to calculate your menstrual cycle as the first day of your period to the last day before your next period starts.
Every month I have a few days of spotting where I need to wear a liner and there is more evidence when I go to the toilet than in my underwear (TMI!?). After 2 days, I'll get a steady flow where I need to use more than a liner. My period ends in a similar fashion.
So .... when is Day 1? Sorry if this is a really stupid question but I'm just not sure![]()

Hi Briscat,
Welcome to BB!No question is a dumb question here
Day 1 is first day of fresh (red) blood that makes it to the pad ( more than what a liner can take). HTH.
Hi Belle & oscaroscar - Thanks so much to responding.it's great to be able to ask these sorts of questions - I'm sure it won't be my last!
