    Advice two different childcares?

My almost 2year old is about to start childcare for the first time. Originally I was planning on putting her into family daycare and have found a lovely lady to care for her. I wanted her in family day care as I was concerned a centre has more children and most likely more opportunities to catch germs. Anyway the problem now is this family day care mum can not have my DD on a Monday which I have just found out is the day I need to work as well as Thursday. The only option is to put her in the long daycare centre on a Monday and then the daycare Mum of a Thursday. I could put her in the centre of a Thursday also except she has now got use to her family daycare mum and seems settled. That obviously means she will be in 2 places for the two days and be exposed to even more germs. What would others do? Its only for the year as next year DD will start pre-school 9-3.

My first thought would be what are the two places like with their bringing sick kids policies? Some day care places I have heard are happy to accept colds etc and others are very strict. I would imagine the family day care lady would be quite strict as she would want to protect the other kids so you may find yourself in the position of your DD picking up germs in the bigger day care and then not being able to go to the family day care, whereas if you were solely in the bigger day care they may be a bit more understanding, especially if she's catching it there in the first place.
