    Question DD and childcare..

Currently DD1 attends FDC 2 days a week, 930am-430pm. She absolutely loves it and it appears she hates not being able to go should she be sick, carer away or any other reason etc.

I was talking to DH last night and we were saying how she loves to play with kids and at FDC she only has 2 kids to play with and maybe a centre 1 day a week would be good for her as well...bigger setting and more kids, new environment and new activities.

She has been in FDC since she was 5 months old.

Would she benefit from this (2 days FDC, 1 day CCC)?

Or for the moment just leave her in FDC. She will be 2 in 11 days

FDC has the advantage of lower kid:carer ratios, but then again CCC has more kids and more interactions! Maybe find a CCC you like and see what vacancies they have - there could be a waiting list for anything more than 1 day a week

From the sounds of it, I think she'd love daycare. Give it a go and see how she settles in.
Oh, and congrats on finding out it was a boy!!

Yeah I'd give it a go... DS goes to one day care once a week - then montessori twice a week, so far no problems combining the two.
