Are you looking for next year? I'm not out that way but around our area (eastern suburbs) spots for next year ave been allocated, I think you may find it hard to get in anywhere, have you tried child care?
Hello everyone
I have searched the site but could not find much feedback / experience of members for 4 year old kindergartens in the Wyndham area in VIC ( werribee, hoppers crossing, wyndham wale, point cook, tarneit etc.) for council run, commmunity based and / or private kinders.
I hope someone might be able to help us with this.
If any of you lovely people can share their good/bad experiences or make any recommendations or can suggest some kinders in the area, that would be great . I am sure Wyndham being the fastest growing area a lot of people would appreciate this helpful information.
Thanks heaps
Dee

Applications for Wyndham have closed for next year I think. I have put my daughter down for woodville for next year which has a good reputation. If you need kinder next year and you can't apply I can reccomend a good day care kinder program.
Ok then, Id go and look at the ones you're most interested in
My 5 year old is doing kinder program at Victoria University Childcare Centre in Werribee we find it fantastic! There are lots of good kinders in Wyndham.
Thanks. yeah there are lot of kinders in wyndham and they all seem good which makes it even more confusing for me.
I also have Heathdale christian college kinder as one of the options but don't really have any friends' kids going there for kinder program... so don't have any reviews. Do you have any feedback on that one by any chance? :-)
And good news, not that it may be of interest to you but by 2014 most child care centres will have integrated programs for those full time working mummies or cant currently access kinder programs which means more availability.
Centres that dont already are required to have B.Ed teachers on premise so most will integrate a kinder program.
Both my boys have gone to Kinders in Wyndham. For 2014 you would look at the Council website next year around March I think, as that is when the Kinder packages are available with a sheet on all the Kinders in Wyndham and the times and schedules they have. They go by DOB not first in first served. So if you have a November baby, chances of getting your first preferences are extremely low due to the high population out here. Put in as many prefernces as you can and are willing to travel to. By 2014 all Kinders should have the 15hr program in place.
PM me if you like, I was happy with our Kinder. It was walking distance, the teachers and assistance's were lovely. They have an AGM which is compulsory to attend also before the Kinder years starts.
Most creches have a Kinder program already in our area.
If you want a good indendenant Kinder, I have heard excellent feeback on Cooraminta, I think that is Hobsons Bay though.
Thanks so much Heather72 for a detailed reply. I have a few council/ private kinders in mind - quantin Binnah, the Grange, Willmington Kinder and heathdale christian college kinder but do not have much feedback about them. Have you heard any feedback about either of them?
Hey, I dont know why but I don't see any private messaging enabled on my account... may be coz I am new to belly belly? can You email me about the kinder that you kids went to. thanks mate.

Hi quantin binah and Wilmington are both good. Heathdale you have to pay a registration fee which is pretty steep and you have to pay the money before you get the results of the Wyndham kinder process, one of the women at my husband's work is currently going through this issue.
