Not something I have to think about for a while yet but I'm curious, how does it differ from the mainstream kinder/pre school? I know it's less structured and the kids are encouraged to choose their own activities right? What else?
How much does it cost, particularly in Melbourne?

) of activities. But a Montessori classroom is a wonderfully calm, quiet, and often self-regulated environment. There ARE rules, such as only one person per activity (most activities). Interuptions are minimal.
