What would this be? Yucky discharge.

DD (3 1/2) has just come to me telling me she had a "yucky 'gina". I have had a look and there is what looks to be dried yellowish discharge around it. She is in undies full time now, so it's not poo or anything like that. Would she have vaginal discharge at 3? Enough for it to irritate her? I also noticed last week that in her night nappies there was some staining of what looked like would have been discharge. She has just stopped wetting at night in the last few weeks and last week was our cut off for her to wear night nappies, so her nappies were dry and I was putting them on her two nights in a row before throwing them out (such a waste!!). I haven't noticed her playing with her vagina, it doesn't look irritated or sore, there doesn't seem to be any odour or anything and she hasn't mentioned anything to me or DH at all. Could it just be a normal thing for her? I don't really want to take her to the doctor for it if it's likely to be nothing, iygwim??

I would definately be getting it checked out. She shouldn't be having any vaginal discharge at her age.

    Good luck

Maybe I've give her thrush by putting ehr nappies on her twice last week? She hasn't said anything about it being irritated, and I haven't noticed her itching, or any smell or anything....?
