    how long does nurofen/dimetapp take to work?

    DD needs both before bed for glue ear, curious to how long it take to work

    Dimetapp tends to kick in within about 20 mins/half an hour, nurofen I am not sure hun I have never used it for littlies, sorry!

    *most* oral medications (as a general rule) take 20-30 minutes to take effect. HTH

    the new nurofen us supposed to work within 15 minutes.

    they have altered the coating to achieve that. There are exceptions to the rule, but *most* oral medications take 20-30 minutes to take effect. Some longer, some shorter.
